Potplants
The most important potplants for commercial production are Phalaenopsis, Anthurium, Kalanchoe, Draceana, Fiscus, Spathiphyllum, Hydrangea (see cutflowers), Begonia, Chrysanthemum, Rosa and Hyacinthus (see bulbous plants), Narcissus (see bulbous plants) and Vriesea. In Genomic in situ hybridization studies the genomic constitition of Elatior interspecific hybrids (crosses of tuberous begonia and B. socotrana) could be identified, no intergenomic recombination could be detected (Marasek et al, 2010)
